This is a painting from the archives...I did this from a photo of my dad's calves lying in the sun and straw.
Rob framed the No. 1 Artist Proof Print in a shadowbox of old barnwood from a corral and gave it to dad for Father's Day.......besides his family, his dog and horse...his angus cattle were a deep source of pride.

This was the first "angus" painting I did, the original is in the private collection of family friends Larry & Kathy White.
Dad used White's Angus bulls and these calves were out of those bulls.

I had just started from pencil drawings into oil painting...there is palette knife at work here.
