THE ROAR OF THE SUNDAY CROWD

It takes a village to raise a bull rider....
From the first go 'round at the ranch on the family border collie...
The muttin' bustin'' and steer riding at the local 4th of July rodeo...someone's watching his back.

The Roar of the Sunday Crowd of the last go round of the state finals , the chute opens to the crowd of family, friends and neighbors on their feet screaming support as his dad looks over the chute, while the volunteers along with the bull fighter watch his back.....

And....in the dust along the side of the fence...a little boy with a big cowboy hat and a buckle too big for his jeans....watches and mutters " that will be me someday"......

This painting is a 'slice of country life' we hold dear...and I did it as a hats off to the volunteers behind the scenes of the North Dakota High School Rodeo Finals in Bowman and all the other events that support our young people's dreams.

We have donated the painting this year to the local hospital benefit....
It takes a village to raise a hospital too.
