Pheasant Rooster In Summer Grasses

I caught a few reference photos of a rooster last summer weaving through the green grass above the creek. The vibrant colors on him really popped in contrast with the lush green.    Original Oil on Canvas    12x16

Finch - Original Oil

"Finch"               Original Oil         12x12 We enjoy watching the finch on the bird feeders, but even more their balance on the wild sunflowers...gently picking out the seeds by bending over as the sunflowers weave back and forth.  This painting is 12"x12 "- so the tiny finch is several times larger than life, kinda fun!

The Wonder Of Spring

The Wonder of Spring by Marsha Lehmann Hundreds of cranes flew over a week ago or so...I was able to catch a few with the camera...reminded me of the pencil drawing done years ago when I saw cranes fly over while a young mare nursed her foal. The wonder of spring.... photo by MLL
