The following is an explanation of how we offer prints.
*****We do not do every painting in prints, in fact we do very few.. if we do a print, they are of highest quality, they are not made in mass quantities on offset presses.
EACH PRINT:
Printed with Giclee On Canvas (a slow high quality printing process which sprays each color ink on high quality canvas)
LIMITED EDITION
If we do release a print of an original by Marsha, they are in a very very small edition - most under 75 total, many in an edition of only 25 total!
CONTROL AND QUALITY
Each print is examined, signed and numbered personally by Marsha, this makes for more work and we still try to offer these prints at a reasonable price so that you can start an art collection of collectable quality art that looks very similar to an original, which is what everyone would most like to aquire.
SOLD OUT
When the 25 in an edition are gone, they are only available on secondary market (if someone has one they are willing to sell, or if a gallery has one on hand)
WHERE ARE PRINTS AVAILABLE
Marsha's print "I Wanna Be Like You" was published by Greenwich Workshop Publishing and was available throughout frameshops in the US. Many of her small editions published by her studio are available locally through the studio at prairiebleu@ndsupernet.com or through JP Frameshop 701-483-8495.
Open Edition Prints
Open Edition Prints Signed or Unsigned and Posters can be reprinted...they are unlimited.
Limited Edition Prints
Limited Edition Prints have a preset number of signed & numbered prints.
Canvas Giclee Limited Edition
Giclee is a process where each print is printed one at a time VS open edition prints, posters or regular edition prints. Since they are printed one at a time, the cost of printing is higher VS printing with large quantities such as posters.
The ink is sprayed on canvas slowly allowing the ink to set. The Canvas Giclees are available either flat for mounting and framing or various sizes can be wrapped on stretcher bars similar to the original oil paintings (which can also be framed).
Artist Proof
10% of editions are reserved for artist proofs, considered more collectable.
Signed & Numbered Editions
S/N
Limited Edition Prints and Canvas Giclee Prints are signed and numbered by the artist.
Example: 1/25 the print is No. 1 of 25 Total Prints.
Sold Out Editions:
The sold out editions of prints are only available on secondary market.
