This is a small painting - loose brush strokes to indicate deep snow and blowing snow- cool tones with vertical warms...I intended by cropping the pole, the eye would follow down the pole, to Rob, then sideways to Sam and travel along the panels back in a triangle...

A side story to the painting, I worked from a photo taken a few years ago at the start of calving time...we had a few years of alot of moisture during calving...this was taken on one of those years.

I'm posting this today to wish my best friend a blessed birthday ...
