Young Meadowlarks on Barb Wire

A photo from last summer of young meadowlarks and bunting larks together on the barb wire fence.... I always wait to hear that "first song of the meadowlark" on the fencepost in early spring! photo by MLL My dad would always tell all of us when he heard the first one, and if I was outside with him, we'd stop and listen to their song, he would then whistle back to them, mimicking their song...then, the meadowlark would "change" it's song...and so it went! He said it was one of the only birds he noticed would change.   Try as I might, I never could whistle....so, the meadowlarks now, sing whatever they wish...and I just listen and enjoy! Wishing you a great day.

Looking for The Spirit of the Mountain

I recently had a call from someone that would like to purchase a "Spirit of the Mountain" print. The Spirit of the Mountain-Killdeer Mountain Rodeo I told her I would put it out there, if anyone has one, please let me know, the edition was very limited and sold out before publishing. THANK YOU!

Dandelions and Dogs....

A photo from this spring checking cow calf pairs late afternoon....the sun shining through the dandelions...a beautiful sight from the seat of the side by side. A good friend asked me a question last week, what are my inspirations... this would be right up there at the top. ...a beautiful day on the prairie, abundance of rain, seeing the changes in the grasses every day.... amazed at God's creation and the incredible delicate balance of nature.... Of course a hard working little dog ready to help with anything... Oh, and my camera bag strapped on the side by side to capture it all! (there is of course a reason it's strapped to the side by side...but that's a story for another day) Dandelions & Wrango - photo by MLL
