On this day full of excitement of horse racing...in tribute to the beauty of horses, I thought I would post a work in progress. I started the painting while displaying my work at the Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Medora two weeks ago. I would like to thank the Poetry Gathering for inviting me to show. I ran into collectors I hadn't seen in years, friends I hadn't seen for a long time and met new ones as well. As our prairie is in the height of green with the wonderful rains we've had, I pulled this photo for reference, almost able to smell the green grass around her and the softness of her nose.
